The CLASH Project

Within FASHIONCLASH MAASTRICHT there is a special project called ‘CLASH’ In the CLASH project several artists and designers (all non fashion designers) were invited to translate their vision on fashion into an outfit that will be presented on the catwalk at the opening night and then take part in the exhibition.

ClASH the beginning

CLASH Project / for NON-FASHION DEISGNERS

Yes! We've started with the CLASH project this weekend!

The first creatives have received their material packages including 5m of unbleached cotton textile and 25 € for extra expanses. Just 7 weeks to go.We can be very excited about the result.

About the CLASH project:

CLASH is a special project within FASHIONCLASH MAASTRICHT that allows non-fashion designers to translate their  vision on fashion into an outfit that will be shows on the catwalk and in the exhibition to a brought audience from 26th June- 5 July 2009 at the Timmerfabriek Maastricht.

The chosen people are responsibe for the whole outfit including hair and make-up.

The list of the participants will be published soon.

The CLASH project is directed by Matylda Krzykowski.

FASHIONCLASH MAASTRICHT

FASHIONCLASH is proudly inviting you all to be a part of the first and unique Maastricht fashion week, FASHIONCLASH MAASTRICHT.

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht shows fashion in its widest perspective.

Young and talented designers from the Netherlands and abroad will show their collections on the catwalk. There is also an exhibition about fashion in the widest sense of word. Different disciplines are presented next to each other, all linked to each other by ‘fashion’.

The spectacular annual fashion show of the fashion/textile department of The Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht is an important part of the schedule.

We are: FASHIONCLASH

FASHIONCLASH is a foundation initiated by Nawie Kuiper, Branko Popovic andEls Petit, all graduated on the fashion department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht.
Main purpose of FASHIONCLASH is to create a ‘clash’ with ‘fashion’ as a starting point. By organising fashion projects FASHIONCLASH aims to stimulate collective work and to create a platform for ‘young’ fashion designers and artists.
