How is a person who loses his house or farm going to have the means to move to Canada to start all over again?

Software update doesn't see the update on my 11" MacBook Air. The iDVD update did show up though...
Curious if you are on 10.6.6 or 10.6.5? Possibly this might be a 10.6.5 issue only?
I didn't see the iDVD update because that appears to be 10.6.6 only, and I'm still on 10.6.5.

Here is a neat gadget I had for about 1 month before I got my 5G ipod. It's a button re-locator used for when your iPod is on a belt clip or like in my case I wanted to keep the scroll wheel buttons clean. It's in perfect shape since I barely used it.
Im selling for $10 shipped to contiguous USA.
Check Nyko website for more details: http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=38

I have a C2D mini and a quad Xeon Dell Poweredge (linux) sitting idle most of the day.
Anyone know how to run folding on them with an override when I need them and am away from home?
I am sure my whole setup would get smoked by a PS3, but I would love to help if I can.

Transporteur: after all the research and different configurations I've done over the last 24 hours, I've come full circle back to the one you recommended, which was... :D
1 OS SSD, 1 scratch SSD, 1 bootable backup (1TB), 1 3TB storage drive, 1 3TB backup drive.
The only modification I have here is to use a 2TB storage drive as I want proper versioning out of Time Machine with that using a 3TB drive.
The other thing I'm thinking is to add a 6th drive to clone the storage drive, so if that does fail, then I can work right off the cloned drive with no down time. What do you think about that?
Oh yea, also a 7th drive (I know, this is getting out of control) for weekly clone back ups of the boot, scratch, and storage drives that will be kept off site.
Edit: How does this drive look for the scratch drive?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226168
And this one for the boot drive? It's only 70MB/s write but write isn't that important on the boot disk, right?

AND the Nano when they decided the Fatty wasn't a good idea...or their sales indicated that it wasn't as well received, I mean selling as much as they wanted it to. I preferred the Fatty style, but was on board when they made the screen larger and added the video camera.
I still love the Fatty. If they'd come out with a nano in that body style with 32GB it would be my perfect iPod. I still use my 8GB 3rd gen every day, even though I also have a 32GB Touch.
I wonder how many people who disliked the 3rd gen nano actually owned one. I think they were actually pretty compelling once you handled them for a while. Sort of like the homely mutt that ends up being the best pet you ever had.

After the recent (4/29) update, my Launchpad is empty - curious if anyone else has the same experience. Launchpad attempts to load, then quits after 1/2 second.
Not terribly excited about LP - basically I have 'applications' and 'office applications' folders in my dock which pop out icons (without disrupting my screen) I would rather 'scroll down' my apps than scroll across in iOS fashion. Launchpad really isn't very useful on a two-screen desktop either. Might be useful on a MBP - but I don't have a spare partition on mine to give Lion a try.
Edit: Textedit.app crashes too - textwrangler is fine.

Hello,
If you're in Europe, you may benefit from using Apple Europe (time.euro.apple.com) as your NTP server.
This may be set by default when you installed the system. If not, look under System Preferences > Date & Time.

If I were in your position, I would chose the Mac. Now, choosing between a new Mac and a Wii...that's a bit tougher. :)

And here was a reply that I received:
"Is there anything wrong with it? Why are you selling it if you just bought it a week ago? Also...you only paid $630 for it. Nobody is stupid enough to pay you 1200 when they dont even sell for anywhere near that price in retail....nice try!"
It gave me a nice chuckle.

I don't know anything about embroidery, but if I google 'embroidery software mac' it comes up with a number of different results, including a plug-in for Illustrator. Are none of these suitable?
There's also an older MacRumors thread here. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=513920)
If not, consider running Windows on your Mac either through Bootcamp or an emulator to use the software you need. Further info in the Windows on the Mac forum. (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=86)

Can we request anyone to encode the keynote, not just a full stream (connecting to internet)? This is, it is legal to get that (and free please).

Should we/I be nervous about this? Do you think Apple would leave us stranded?
