"Garbage-to-wear" by Gunnar Hämmerle

Gunnar's inspiration

What is your name? Gunnar Hämmerle.

Where and what did you study and when did you graduate? I studied business management at LMU Munich and graduated 1998. After that, I went to film school HFF, also in Munich. There, I graduated 2003.

How did your experience with blogging started? Why a blog? I started blogging by the end of 2006. First, it was just a fun project. I wanted to take pictures of people and a street style blog gave me a good reason to do so. I love the idea of blogging because it is such a great way to share your work with the whole world. And it doesn't cost anything to start... except your ideas and time.

Where does your inspiration come from? From here and now. I love to be thrown in a situation and then work with it. My approach is rather spontaneous than conceptual.

Gunnar's inspiration

Do you have a favorite designer or artist? No, I don't. Either some creation triggers me somehow or it doesn't. It's not a matter of who created it.

What can you bring to FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2011? To be honest: I don't know yet. Hopefully, something inspiring, something that people do not forget immediately after having seen it.

Gunnar's inspiration

What is the concept of your work (for the CLASH project)? I want to create a look out of things that people don't want to have any more. Garbage-to-wear. Fashion in large parts is a throw-away-industry. I don't like that. So I will try to turn it upside down: from the trash bin to the catwalk.

What do you expect from FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2011? A fun event with nice and creative people.

What are your ambitions? Where do you see yourself in the future? I am more a sort of a drifter, do not think about the future too much. I want to continue doing things I love, the rest will be fine then.

My Flickr account will expire on April 20 - arghhh

photo
I just received a note from Flickr that my pro account will expire this April 20, I’m so sad that my pro account will end after a year of fun in uploading too many photos for my blog and for everyone. But I have a choice to purchase and extend the pro account. Thanks to Chuvaness.com for the pro gift of my one year pro account here in Flickr. So its up to me if I can continue another year. And my answer is…

Yes! I’ll extend the pro account, but the problem is that I already encashed my Paypal money and I didn’t know that they are now accepting paypal payments, I remember last year that they don’t accept yet for paypal payments, but today, they allow it. Problem is that, I want to extend my Pro account, but the paypal money that I will use for this account is already processed by the bank to be converted into a real money.. arghhhh now I have to wait for another month to generate more paypal money for another service subscription to Flickr.

I love Flickr!
They host all photos in my blog and I don’t encounter yet any problem with them. I love the pro account because they give unlimited bandwidth for your photo host and unlimited photo uploads. On previous post in my blog, I used my Windows Live Writer to post a content in my blog, some photos are hosted at Picassa, but now I discovered that there’s a Flickr2Writer plug in, and you can post photos and the entire album using the plugin for your Windows Live Writer. Blogging and posting my photo coverage is much more easier, compare to copying the html codes one by one of each photos that I uploaded. Its a great combination in blogging – Blogspot and Flickr.

image Here’s a reminder from Flickr about my account

image
Ohh! I saw this in my account…so if anyone of you wants to donate..heheheh just inform me :)

image Here’s the rate of a one year pro account

image
Here’s a comparison for Pro and Free account.

image And I love the Pro Account because they have this statistic report that will show in your front page of Flickr, and it displays how many pics you have, the number of views and number of comments activity.

And wow! I have 17,013 photos!!! and I just checked that my profile views got an average impression of 900 views per day.. wow!!!!! I just hope that I can monetize in my Flickr ahhhaahahh.

If you want to have a free account, just log in using your Yahoo! ID and visit - http://www.flickr.com/

Get ready for another upgrade from Blogger.com

If you are using Blogger.com or Blogspot in your blogs, then you should read this post and check out the new update and also upgrade by Blogger.com, the news came out few days ago at the SXSW event in Austin, USA. The short preview of their new UI will drive more people to stick to Blogger.com and for me... I'll stick to Blogger.com.

Right now I just transferred one of my WP blog into Blogger, because Blogger is much more easy to manage and user friendly. Last year, Blogger offered us some new upgrades like the new content editor, preview post viewer, the real time blog stats, spam comments filtering, the web fonts , mobile blog templates and a nice template editor.

So let's stop the talkies and see the awesome new updates from Blogger.com

The new blog compose editor

the updated Blogger dashboard

This one is interesting - a Navigation bar that features tool button for related post and media also called a "smart content discovery feature", were you can see a short cut links of other post related on what you are reading on another blog site.

Watch this video and see the new upgrades in action, also you can find out here that Blogger becomes more successful and bigger last year 2010, now having 250 million readers every day.

yay! Blogger!

new blog template is here!

Azrael's Merryland_1299661386023

I like to announce that I changed already the blog template and layout of my blog. It al started at around after lunch, my stomach is in pain and it went upside down after eating some sea shells for lunch here at home. To take the pain away, must fool myself for being busy and never think about the pain in my tummy, its the time also to be busy and update my blog even that everyone is having a big rumble about that proposed National Bloggers Association of the Philippines.

This was my 3rd template for this day, been experimenting some layout and trying to make my dear readers enjoy more reading my blog and experience a great UI usability.

Just tell me if you like it or hate it.
I'll change it and find a much better blog layout.
