You should receive it in 3-4 days max. We got it in 2 days. Please ask them to recheck, or call USCIS 1-800 number or even better conduct INFOPASS where they can even resend the RFE to another address if necessary.
Generally how many days it takes to get the actual RFE in hand.

If I get EAD from my current employer and join new employer on EAD before 180 days after filing I-485.
Are there risks that my EAD be canceled before it's expiration date?
Can my new employer start PERM and I140 during that year, and file H1B extn based on I-140 approval before my EAD expires? (Assuming EAD renewal may not be possible, as I left the job before 180 days, and employer never revoked I-140).
I have already completed my 6 years on H1.

yes you can. As per AC 21 once you have counted towards h1b number in last 6 year you are not counted again. So assuming your original h1 wasn't though non profit orgainzation, you can apply for new h1. If you have your I 140 approved you get 3 years h1. PM me if you need more info. I have done it.
and btw, h1b premium processing takes 15 days, so don't panic.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be sheer genius if Kodak was to license the Canon mount? Imagine if they offered both Nikon and Canon mounts (even better - an interchangeable mount plate so you could have it both ways on one body)!
Surely this is possible. Perhaps Canon is blocking them or it's just not cost-effective?

And Fujifilm too. But I think its a "business decision" somehow, and I don't expect it will happen, when Canon is so dominant, for that market segment concerned. At least not now, not soon. I wish I am wrong.

Hi,
I got my checks cashed yesterday night.
I got 6 receipts. 3 for me and 3 for my wife ( 485/EAD/AP).
Got receipt numbers from back of check starting with SRC.
But when checked in USCIS case status Online it said Case Retreival Failed.
Dont know whats going on.
Hope you should be fine.
Call USCIS as you have receipt numbers now and explain your situation, They will be able to help. Before calling USCIS, check with your attorney.

After you file your I-485, your status changes to 'Adjustment of status' or 'Adjustee'.
On this status you have 2 options to be able to work:
1) Use EAD, in that case you lose your H1-B status and if your I-485 is denied for any reason, you fall out of status immediately.
Please note that if you use EAD, you HAVE TO use AP for travel.
2) Continue using and extending your H1-B until your I-485 is approved and your status is adjusted to 'Permanent resident'.
You can switch from H1-B to EAD anytime, but there are limitations on whether you can easily switch back from EAD to H1-B.

What I'm going to tell you to do is illegal. So do it at your own risk.
I don't think USCIS is ever going to find out about your income unless you disclose it.
Not filing tax returns is illegal no matter how small the income is. 5k is definitely big enough. I think you should go ahead and file tax returns atleast for 2009, so that you won't get into trouble with the IRS.
This is just my opinion.
My SSN and EID is tied to my business. I'm sure CIS has means to find out if they wanted to. Any other suggestions that don't involve lieing?

My EB-3 priority date is 10/17/2004 Non-PERM. My I-140 was filed in May 2007 and is approved in Aug 2008. Meanwhile I also filed for I-485 for me and my spouse (thanks to DOS Visagate June 2007 event)
I am also on H1B 6th year. Looking at the delay in the EB3 I am contemplating if there is any risk in filing for EB-2.

You made a good point...US media highlights issues based on what it likes and presents it to the people the way they want it to be. US hates 'Ahmedinejad' so they are highighting the opponents..as if the opponent would have been any different for the US..US Media standards reached a new low with their double-standards in covering the Iranian election protests. This is actually a very important matter for you; my best advise would be to contact a good attorney and get the advise. You do not want to put your GC in jeopardy based on opinion from other people who may have incomplete information.

Sorry Man I never posted a reply to the substituting for gradients. But your latter image was much better with image swap (instead of gradient). Doing your navigation in flash would be an excellent idea (instead of mapped images). I am thinking of writing a tut on how to make better gradients without using gradients....you think peeps would be interested? This technique has produced astounding results for me....I am trying to work on the grunge thing I jsu cannot produce anything cool....by the way me2 is very cool.
