Good that we see more proof of Apps received on Jun 29 getting receipted.
I am sure Aug 1st , NSC will become compaint to their receipting release and start receipting everyone who had applied till July 10th.
I read somewhere that many or most or some 485 cases will be or have been transferred to TSC from NSC. and according to the july 20 processing time updates, TSC will be complaint by 10/26. doesnt it sound too good that NSC will be compliant so soon ? Again, i am an eternal pessimist....

Anyone who has applied for and been refused visa issuance at a border post is prohibited from re-admission or re-entry to the U.S. in the same visa category, even though they are in possession of a valid I-94 form. If the ASC does not have much applicants waiting for services then they may service your case regardless of the time scheduled. Just make a visit and try.
I had moved to CA and got FP appointment scheduled for 11/15 at NJ. Last saturday I visited my local ASC and explained about my move. They did not bother about the appointment location & time and took fingerprints.

Actually FP has nothing to do whatsoever with Name Check or when it is initiated. Name Check is a separate process that usually starts within a couple of weeks after you Notice Date. You can check when it is initiated with an Infopass or by talking to a service center IIO on the phone.

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.
