Photo walking from Global City-Mckinley-Pasay-Cavite

image

This is one of my hobby whenever I’m inside the car and travelling from city to another city, I bring my camera whenever I go and I always love to capture some scenes and situation happening around street. Its like photo walking but the difference is that I’m inside the car roaming around the city.

Example, here’s a photo of a scooter running in fast speed in EDSA, and look who’s the passenger, Driver, a back rider and between them is a baby! omg! I thought that we have rules already prohibiting back riding with kids in a motorcycle.

Here’s an awesome scene in Global City, I went to Picadilly building the other day and saw this area where a field, an empty lot and behind it are the buildings. I remember that this area is a vacant lot and you can see the horizon and the other part of the city. The building sprang out like mushrooms, just like what I experienced in Makati city after going back there last year 1996 and saw that buildings are rising so fast.

Going back to Mckinley hills, and I saw this guy rides his bicycle. I also planning to buy my own bike and try to use it everyday and use it as my own transpo. Although that my family don’t want me buy a motorbike, I’ll just stick on bicycles na lang.

Footballs are so in today! I saw this football clinic happening in one of the fields in Mckinley. Looks like the kids enjoyed the training and fun playing outdoors.

Photowalk in Tondo with Filibata

photowalk poster
I like to share this photowalk event on January 29 that will take place in Tondo, Manila. I'm interested to go back in Tondo again and do a photo walk round with photographers and also with NGOs, but I can't make it because I'll be in Tagaytay that day. The photowalk project is for an activity that is happening also in other countries like in Netherlands. And then all photos will be contributed for an upcoming book that shows different situations of children in different cities and country.

I remember that me and my Manila Bloggers Network team visited Tondo few weeks ago for that Wikipedia Takes Manila photo scavenger event. Tondo is an interesting subject for photo walks, I told my team that they should not be scared of visiting Tondo, because people there are nice, just be nice to them and they will be nice to you. I didn't expected that the situation there is like the photo above, but I know that not all part of Tondo is like that.

if you are interested then read the details below

Brgy 105, Tondo, Manila
Barangay Hall 105 Maginoo Street (close to C2 Rd & Marcos Hwy)

Saturday, January 29 · 11:00am - 2:00pm

Join us as we take a photo walking tour of Brgy 105 in Tondo, Manila.

Our goal is to take photos of children in the Philippines. On the same day, photos of children in the Netherlands will also be taken there.

The plan is for NGOs Filibata and CC4U to hold expositions in both countries. After which time, this collection of photos will be made into a book to serve as visual reference of the differing circumstances of children in both worlds.

We invite you to join in taking pictures and to share them with us - professional and amateur photographers alike!

On this day, we will be personally escorted by the Brgy 105 tanod (law enforcement officials).

Feel free to share this post and invite your friends & family. Please post your confirmation of attendance on the wall or just email me at juliette@kwee.in.

We look forward to seeing you there, 11am SHARP!
