Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Ad Campaign by Mario Testino
"Christopher Bailey didn’t look far when it came to casting for Burberry’s fall ad campaign. All of the actors and models shot by Mario Testino, including Felicity Jones, Cara Delevingne (younger sister to Poppy), Jourdan Dunn and Edie Campbell, all hail from Britain. “I was inspired by iconic British portraits and our own archive campaigns from the late 1960s of Jean Shrimpton using her trenchcoat to shelter herself from the poetic and romantic British weather,” said Bailey. “We wanted to create a group of portraits celebrating British actors, musicians and models.’’ The campaign will run across all digital platforms, including the brand’s Web site, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter". -wwd

I really like this advertise campaign shooted by Steven Meisel!!
The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2011-2012 campaign shoot was a complex and carefully coordinated operation involving not only six young, up-and-coming models, five vintage cars and their chauffeur, but also seven pairs of pedigree dogs.
"Steven Meisel and I met and decided we would do this wonderful story of beautiful vintage cars, little dogs and fresh-faced young women. It's a very classic scenario, and of course it suggests travel, but I think we gave it a fresh, modern and sometimes a little bit naughty, tongue-in-cheek spin." Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton Artistic Director
These striking scenes take up the narrative of the Louis Vuitton fashion show at the point where the woman leaves her hotel and steps – along with her pet pooch – into her chauffeur-driven limousine. "Who wouldn't want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?" asks Marc Jacobs. "And wherever she's going, she's dressed in style this season by Louis Vuitton."
"Louis Vuitton’s forthcoming fall-winter campaign has it all: pretty young women, striking vintage cars, vaguely fetishistic fashions and adorable pooches.
In fact, dozens of canine hopefuls turned out for the casting, with only seven pedigreed pairs making the cut. Their doleful eyes compete for attention with six up-and-coming models with tongue-twisting, Blackberry-thumb-inducing names: Zuzanna Bijoch, Daphne Groeneveld, Gertrud Hegelund, Nyasha Matonhodze, Anaïs Pouliot and Fei Fei Sun.
Accessories also share the spotlight, including high-heeled rubber boots, officer caps, driving gloves and variations on the Lockithandbag , including one crocodile version that can be chained to a diamond-pavéd handcuff.
“Who wouldn’t want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?” asks MarcJacobs , Vuitton’s artistic director, highlighting the tongue-in-cheek take on the French brand’s familiar travel theme.
Steven Meisel shot the campaign, with styling by Karl Templer, makeup by Pat McGrath and hair by Guido Palau. It is slated to break in August issues."
