Barbie doll in real life proportion of weirdness

A group of students created a dummy life size Barbie doll following its scale in toy form and applying the sizes into a real life human being. I saw this model Barbie Doll lifesize replica on TV last night in Today Show and I’m very disgusted to see a weird form of the doll.. hindi ako sanay!  More story below

(source)

I didn’t like the idea that they think of a real life proportion of Barbie doll, for me its like an insult, I love Barbie doll ( even that I don’t play with it) and for me Barbie is an icon and didn’t expected that a group of students created and now the media is grabbing a news about it. Mattel sent a statement and said that Barbie is a toy and doesn’t represent any real human.

Ok Ok. so I can to challenge the students if they can create also a lifesize proportion of a LEGO character.

Well, its a perfectly good message for kids that they should idolize a real human and not dolls..but will kids look at this lifesize doll ? I heard that little girls love Ben 10 more than Barbies aahha.

A tricycle driver’s toy collection

If taxi drivers have their own toy collection inside their taxi cab, now we here a toy collection of a tricycle driver. We rode this trike in our village and this is the first time I saw a toy collection displayed inside a trike.

Lace told me take a photo of it since I always have this photo blogging someone’s toy collection, more pics below

I noticed that the toy collection are mostly from fast food toys, the Astroboy figure came from Jollibee, the Sponge Bob figure came from Mcdonalds, Snoopy figures from Mcdonalds, there are also some figures that I don’t know where it came from, but the most weird toy we saw is a super deformed Buddha sitting behind the Snoopy toys.

Medyo inggit lang ako when I saw that he has that Alien figure from Toy Story, it has a spring under it and it wobbles when the trike moves on the street.. super cute hahaha.

Japan's Gundam lifesize scale statue destroyed after quake ??

I just read a tagged photo and news at Facebook and I'm surprised to see that the Gundam statue in Japan wasn't spared after the massive earthquake yesterday. Lots of otakus got worried and sad after they saw the photo. I'm sure the Japanese will rebuild this up once their community goes back to normal. Now I read somewhere that some people are worried that their JAV idol should be saved first.

I wonder what will be reaction of Robot Pilipinas?

source

but...opssssss read this and this
the first source reacted and thought that the statue was badly damaged by the earthquake. I'm glad that another source reveals that the dismantle is a part of another exhibit.

whew!!!

Safe rubber toys for kids by Rubbabu

I'm a toy collector for years and my collection is growing every month, and being introduce to Rubbabu toys is very important, because my little boy Ashton is growing up so fast and my toy collection are now being replaced by baby toys, hahaa! Rubbabu toys are the most safe toys and things for kids and now they are here in the Philippines.

more story below

I'm very amazed on how Rubbabu was made and discovered by Mr. Nari Gidwani after he bought some of it for his kids, then his daughter came up on a business venture on bringing Rubbabu here in the Philippines. I'm excited on its full launch in our local stores this March 2011, and I'll be on the toy store watch next month to check out their stocks. I heard that the toys are on a reasonable price and their highest price of a certain Rubbabu toy is around P1, 500, and there might be toys that are lower than P500. The Rubbabu toys are cute, colorful and easy to handle. Babies and kids will be happy to hold this as the velvet like cover is very mild on their young skin and its easy for their grip and there's no sharp or harmful edges.

I got two toys for baby Ashton, and he loves to play with that weird Rubbabu ball and a yellow school bus with shapes. But Ash loves the ball as of the moment, because he can't recognize well some shapes and have poor grip for the age of 8 months old. But Ash will love on other Rubbabu toys that's why I'm excited to see their presence in our toy stores.

Rubbabu is made from 100% natural rubber foam and then covered with nylon flock that is sourced from the Swicofil, Switzerland. Natural foam are made from the sap of a rubber tree, only the sap and no need to cut down any trees, The natural rubber foam material are considered as biodegradable, except or the nylon cover and the ABS used in the tire axles. The Rubbabu toys are non toxic, biodegradable. It has a vibrant color, soft and squishy material that helps in tactile (sensory) development of children

Natural Rubber Foam are durable, flexible and stronger than any other synthetic rubber foam. It is anti microbial and dust mite resistant, mildew resistant, hypo-allergenic and flame retardant.

They have a wide variety with lots of shapes and sizes.

Toys are Rabbabu balls - different kinds of balls in different shapes and style from a ordinary ball to a torpedo ball

Play sets - a set of vehicle and city play set or animals or farm animals set

Educational toys- a set of magnetic alphabets and numbers

3D shape sorter puzzles in different sizes, shapes and figures

Rubbalox are like puzzles and big blocks that you can build in many ways

Games and sport - a set of bowling pins and ball, carpenter tools, tic tac toe and ring toss set,

Little vehicles - 4 inch mini vehicles like cars, planes, truck, race car and etc.

Micro vehicles are small versions of the vehicle sets

Aniwheels are colorful 3 inches animals with wheels

Rubbabu toys have been tested by independent testing companies to ensure they meet international safety standards and passed AS/NZS ISO 8124 standard in Europe, USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Rubbabu has won many awards, like the Dr. Toy's 10 Best Toys Award 2010, Parent's Choice AWard 2010 and Creative Child Seal Excellence Award.

Rubbabu toys will be available in Rustan's toy store and Kidz Station here in the Philippines this March 2011.
