A Valentines Day set up for Lace

Here's my Valentines Day set up that I did for Lace awhile ago. The funny smile and look of her face was captured by my dslr and a hidden camera installed infront of her ahhaha. February is the month for Lace, because her birthday is on Feb. 17th, that's 4 days away after Valentines.

This was a last minute plan and my mind went crazy after conceptualizing a surprise gimik for Lace this Valentines Day. I bought the flowers in the mall and place all of Ashton's toys on the floor of Lace's room. I installed my PSP with camera on record mode and hidden infront of her. That way, I can capture her surprise moments and watch it over and over again.


Lace and her twinkling eyes, as she didn't know if she will cry or not, but she laugh, she avoided to cry because she knows I installed a camera somewhere hahaa.

Here's my video blog for Valentines Day 2011. This video has the same concept last 2008 when I surprised Lace, my girlfriend in that year, in my 2008 video blog on Valentines Day.

I surprised her in the middle of the mall and gave her flowers, but today I created another video blog, much more special because we're married and our first time to have Valentines Day together at home with our baby boy Ashton. Here in the video, its me and Ash work together on how we can surprise Mommy Lace at home after she arrive from her field work this Valentines Day.

The adventure started at home with Ash and then continues inside the mall were I bought gifts for Lace. The highlight of the video blog when Lace arrives home and saw our surprise and also a mini laptop being played back with me and Ash greeting Lace.hehehe. caught by a hidden video camera of my PSP.

Yahoo! SEA announced our Philippines' top search trends for Valentines day. Everyone is now searching for gifts and other gimiks for Valentines day, Yahoo! was used by lots of internet users and let's see what our fellow pinoys are searching for.

PHILIPPINES, 11 FEBRUARY, 2011 – Love is in the air and Yahoo! Search Trends finds that Filipinos are true romantics at heart. Fully geared to celebrate the romantic day, Filipinos are looking out for just the right kind of messages, gifts and songs to woo the heart of their loved ones.

Findings from Yahoo! Search Trends show that the Filipinos surfed the web for Valentine’s messages, unique quotes and also for wedding related items. Valentine’s being a special occasion has been a season for marriage in the Philippines and hence the searches on wedding related items like cakes, flowers and dresses surged for the month of February.
Yahoo! Search Trends top Valentine’s searches are:

1. Greetings
2. Gifts
3. Shopping
4. Entertainment
5. Decoration

“Beyond popular searches for Valentine day messages, fun quotes and pop-up card searches in Valentine’s messages by the young, ranked high in the list. Filipinos wanted to show their special touch and focused on unique concepts and ideas for gifts. Interesting to observe is that prom and wedding related searches surfaced around this time and seems like the big day would double as a family reunion for a lot of the families,” said Zul Rejab, Editorial Manager, Search Content Analysis.

Entertainment as a category ranked amongst the top searches. The song ‘Valentine’ a duet between Martina McBride and Jim Brickman remained the most popular song for Valentine’s. Cute trends worthwhile to take note are searches on Disney cartoons characters such as Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Pocahontas for e-cards.

‘What to do and not to do’ on Valentine’s was a quirky search that resonated across all of Southeast Asia. This reflects the perfectionist disposition of the people in these countries who wanted an ideal and smooth Valentine’s celebration. Vietnam and Philippines remained among the most artistic Southeast Asian countries that preferred hand-made gifts as a sincere way to show their love and affection.

Being traditional at heart, the Filipinos not only searched for love ideas but also for decorations to rev up the day. Searches on Valentine hearts, cupids and angles spiked for the season and this could be attributed to the tradition in schools of making cards for family and friends on Valentine’s. Concerts and movies seemed to be in high demand this time as the Filipinos embark on the season for romance.
